Based on actual events, "Guns Before Butter" (AKA When Tomorrow Hits) takes a sarcastic look at crime, celebrity and politics. Two small-time left-wing criminals and a wannabe actress cross paths and concoct a plan to rob a Republican religious cult with the hope of changing their lives, only to fail miserably with absurd consequences.

Dutch police inspector Piet Van der Valk finds himself repeatedly crossing paths wiht the beautiful yet troubled Lucienne Englebert, the daughter of a famous conductor recently killed in a car accident. Whern the maverick inspector investigates the seemingly senseless killing of a man in Amsertdam, will Lucienne turn up again?

Jane has an eating problem. She has bought and prepared a feast for an unseen date who calls in sick and sends her spiraling round London, visiting friends and revisiting old habits.

Corrupt record company executives kill a singing sensation with a drug overdose rather than letting her leave their label and join another company. They then frame her cousin/manager for the murder forcing him to go on the run and to try to get the goods on the real killers.
